Nirvana I'm looking for a book called Developing Your Own 32-bit Operating System by Richard Burgess (it's also called MMURTL V 1.0 depending on when it was printed). I found my old Windows 98 (yes, actually from 1998) and after discovering Windows no longer works, I want to make it a new OS. I already tried Kubuntu, Xbuntu, Ubuntu, and something called Jasmyn, and for one reason or another none of them worked. I want to make my own (which I'm calling Nirvana) and possibly sell it to people with old computers. What do you think?

Do a 95 version, and I might consider it. That's what my retro gaming pc runs on.

Since it is 32-bit, it should run on 95 too.
